Marcus Evans is approaching his final season as a VCU Ram. He enters the season averaging a team-leading 13.6 points, 3.2 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game. He overcame two Achilles’ tendon surgeries to return to the court where he made All-Conference in 2018-19. He is now 100% recovered from those injuries as well as a bone bruise injury in his knee he suffered during the Atlantic 10 tournament the past March.
Evans took some time out of his busy schedule to sit down with us for a chat. The Chesapeake native talks with us about his last season, dealing with injuries, and his goals and expectations for his senior season. We also talk about the 2019-2020 roster, player development, and teammates he’s excited about for this season.
