A guide to VCU-hosted events in New York for the Atlantic 10 tournament

For those attending the Atlantic 10 tournament this March in Brooklyn, we’ve got a guide to VCU-hosted events happening around the city:

VCU A-10 Kickoff Social

Thursday, March 12th:

Join VCU Alumni, VCU Athletics, VCU School of Business, VCU Alumni New York City Chapter, VCU Alumni Richmond Chapter and VCU Alumni DC Chapter on Thursday, March 12th at The Ainsworth – Chelsea for a Kickoff Social, as we prepare to cheer our beloved Rams to the A-10 Championship title.

There will be spirit squads there. Event time subject to change based on game play.

When: 6:30PM to 8:30PM

“TODAY” WITH RODNEY THE RAM

Friday March 13th:

Meet up with Rodney the Ram, the VCU Peppas and other alumni, friends and fans to take over the “Today” plaza.

When: 6:30-8 a.m. Friday, March 13

Where: “Today” plaza, Rockefeller Center on 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, right outside Studio 1A

VCU A-10 Tournament Pregame Reception

Friday March 13th:

Two and a half hours before the first VCU Rams game session. You will receive an email with the exact time after seeds have been determined.

Get pumped at Barclays Center’s 40/40 Club before the Rams’ first game. Join fellow alumni and fans at an exclusive event presented by VCU Recreational Sports and hosted by the VCU Office of Alumni Relations. Passes include an open bar and buffet. Early-bird pricing ends March 1. Space is limited, so buy your passes today.

Pregame reception pass (PREGAME ONLY): $30 by March 1; $40 after. Includes full open bar and buffet.
Combo pack (includes one pregame reception pass and one ticket to the first VCU session): $50

The VCU Office of Alumni Relations secured a block of rooms at the New York Marriott Marquis at a reduced rate of $296 per night. The hotel, in the heart of Times Square, has easy access to Barclays Center.
