Audio: A quick interview with Joey Rodriguez

Got a chance to do a quick catchup with VCU legend Joey Rodriguez last week. The former VCU point guard is a coach on the rise, having worked on staff with Mike Rhoades at both Rice and VCU and now as an Assistant Coach for Jeremey Ballard’s FIU Panthers (was also a very successful head coach for the Ram Nation TBT squads).

We talked a bit about VCU’s recent struggles and FIU’s rise from sub-200 punching bag to current CUSA contender.

He also just welcomed a brand new baby girl into the world, so make sure to send him a congratulations and show the Rodriguez family some love!
