VCU postpones fall sports in conjunction with Atlantic 10

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Atlantic 10 announced on Friday its decision to postpone all scheduled fall sports, with the potential for a “look in” in September. A “look in” would allow the conference to review the current state of the pandemic, and consider changes to their decision.

It’s important to note that fall sports do not include VCU men’s and women’s basketball, which are considered winter sports. Those schedules have not changed or been postponed at this time. The postponement will impact fall seasons for men’s and women’s cross country volleyball, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, golf and men’s and women’s tennis programs, as well as offseason competitions for baseball and lacrosse.

The Atlantic 10 will look to reschedule fall sports during the 2021 spring semester.
