Stockard adds experience and a big body following the transfer departure of rising senior, Marcus Santos-Silva, to Texas Tech. He joins senior Corey Douglas and sophomore Hason Ward as another center option for the black and gold. Coppin State transfer, 7’1 big man, Brendan Medley-Bacon, will sit due to NCAA transfer rules.
Stockard averaged 3.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in a career-high 16.6 minutes of player for the Wildcats in his last season of Big 12 action. He scored a career-high 17 points in 28 minutes of action last season, coincidentally against a Saint Louis team he’s set to see once this year in A-10 play.
Stockard is a St. Louis native.
