VCU pauses activities after positive COVID-19 results

VCU’s home game today against Davidson will be postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test within the VCU program. The VCU men’s basketball program will also pause all activities, following COVID-19 protocols within the program.

VCU will resume team activities once all personnel (coaches, players, staff) clear COVID-19 protocols.

Matt has been reporting on VCU sports for Ram Nation since 2007 with a focus on news, photos, and feature stories.
The virus is spreading so fast that it was only a matter of time before someone in our program exposed,( even with the incredible job they have done so far) just hope everyone comes away healthy and it doesn't expose a great number or anyone more at risk.
I agree it’s pretty incredible we made it through 10 games

I noticed, the other day, that the back to back scheduling was being used in the league.

The upside to playing two games at Davidson is that they will be borderline top 75, so a split gives you a Q1 win. Going .500 in Q1 games usually gets you a single digit seed on Selection Sunday.

Absent the fans, you are still on the road. You are staying in a hotel, vs. your own dorm room, and playing in an arena you may not be familiar with. Going to Davidson is not like going to South Dakota, where everyone is basically the visiting team.
See my comment earlier. A split at Davidson is a net positive for the resume.

Does this indicate that someone outside of the program tested positive and a person or persons associated with the program had been in contact with that person but that person or persons associated with program all tested negative?
