VCU vs. UMass postponed due to COVID protocols

VCU’s home game against UMass on Wednesday, Jan. 27th has been postponed. Details are scarce, but VCU Athletics made the announcement today indicating the decision to postpone was “due to contact tracing, and out of an abundance of caution.” The Atlantic 10 conference will work with the two programs to attempt to reschedule the game for a later date.

This is the 3rd time VCU has had a postponement of an Atlantic 10 conference game. In January, VCU announced it had postponed a home game against Davidson due to a COVID situation within the VCU program. Not longer after, the Rams had to reschedule a game against cross-town rival Richmond Spiders due to COVID issues within their program.

VCU is still scheduled and preparing to host La Salle this Saturday, Jan. 30th at 1:00pm at the Siegel Center. The game will air on NBC Sports.
