This year’s A-10 preseason poll is out and the VCU Rams have been picked to finish fourth after finishing second in last season’s Atlantic 10. The Rams were picked ninth in last year’s poll, but surprised the league with a runner-up regular season and a trip to the tourney championship where they fell to this year’s unanimous A-10 preseason No.1, St. Bonaventure.
VCU senior, Vince Williams, picked up some A-10 Second Team hardware. Williams is the Rams returning leading scorer after seeing Bones Hyland selected in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft.
Hason Ward finished last season on the conference’s All-Defensive team and not surprisingly earned All-Defensive preseason honors to start this year as well.
