Recap: VCU looked to extend their current 3 game win streak as they hosted the Midshipmen from the U.S. Naval Academy. Navy’s 7-0 run to start the game would be their only lead as VCU overcame the early deficit in the 74 to 52 win.
VCU overcame Navy’s early 13 point lead after going on a 7-0 run to start their first half comeback. After that, VCU never looked back.
Sophomore Jalen DeLoach and red shirt sophomore Jamir Watkins both led all Rams in scoring with 18 points. VCU shot 52%, connecting on 29 of 56 from the field and hit 6 of 17 from behind the arc.
Next Game: VCU will host La Salle Saturday, December 31st at 2pm. The game will be televised on ESPN+/MASN.
