On November 5th, 2009...7:30...the 09-10 VCU Rams will hit the court for the first time as they play crosstown exhibition rival Virginia Union.  We at Ram Nation can't wait, and will be counting down those days advent style.  So without further adieu...

17 ...as in 17 home games.

November 5th will be the first time we get to see Darius Theus, Troy Daniels, Issiah Grayson, Jaime Skeen, Jay Gavin, and David Hinton hit the court together and our first real look at life without Eric Maynor.

This year also includes possibly the best slate of non-conference games to ever hit the Siegel Center, highlighted by Jeff Capel's return to the Stu with his Oklahoma Sooners on November 21st.  That will be the second non-conference tilt after hosting Bethune Cookman on the November 13th regular season opener.

After Oklahoma comes a Luke Babbitt lead Nevada team (11/27), hungry for a national ranking.  VCU looks to avenge their 1 point road collapse from last year's Bracket Buster matchup against the Wolf Pack.

Five days later the Rams will look to avenge yet another road loss when they host the Rams of Rhode Island December 2nd.  Follow that up with the Black and Blue Classic against Richmond on the 12th.  VCU will face a tough Spider team retuning virtually everyone (and then some..Dan Geriot, who sat out last year due to injury) that will be looking to steal a game from the Rams after dropping one in the Robins Center after a Bradford Burgess dagger late.

The Rams will also get a shot at an ECU team (12/29) who handed the black and gold yet another road OOC loss this past season, finishing up the non-conference schedule with a home Bracket Buster game (either Feb 19 or 20th).

VCU's home conference schedule is highlighted by games against Northeastern (1/4) and CAA preseason favorite Old Dominion (2/6).

See you there...
