The departure of sophomore Sean Mobley created and additional roster spot in VCU's 2019 class, a spot just filled by 6'9 power forward, Hason Ward.
Rivals.com's Corey Evans reported the commitment Wednesday night.

A lengthy forward, the Rams got involved late with Ward but were able to complete their 2019 class with his commitment, beating out the likes of Rutgers, Georgia and UMass for the Springfield, MA native.
The graduating Springfield Central High star has been described as a hyper-athletic shot-blocker, a description he earned this year with an insane 22-blocks in one game performance.
Ward will join guards Jarren McAllister and Tre Clark in VCU's incoming 2019 freshman class.
