Atlantic 10 releases 2014-15 conference pairings

<a href="http://www.vcuramnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Atlantic-10-Logo.gif"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-12715" src="http://www.vcuramnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Atlantic-10-Logo-300x138.gif" alt="Atlantic-10-Logo" width="300" height="138" /></a>That Atlantic 10 released the 2014-15 men's basketball conference pairings today, and VCU's has a major southern feel to it.

The Rams will play five teams in home-and-homes as a part of the conference's newly-expanded 18-game schedule. In what appears to be an attempt to foster local rivalries, VCU will play what I'm calling the "A-10 South", getting Richmond, George Mason, George Washington and Davidson both home and away, as well as western outlier, Saint Louis.

VCU's home schedule will look very similar to the Rams' inaugural A-10 schedule, hosting Dayton, La Salle, UMass and Saint Joseph's on top of the home-and-homes with the previously mentioned teams, and will travel to Duquesne, Fordham, Rhode Island and Saint Bonaventure without return games.
