Briante Weber has officially been named to the 2015 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award Watch List. The Cousy Award is one of the top awards honored in college basketball and recognizes the top point guards in men’s college basketball.
Former Rams <a href="http://www.vcuramnation.com/2010/12/rodriguez-named-as-candidate-for-cousy-award/">Joey Rodriguez</a> and <a href="http://www.vcuramnation.com/2008/11/maynor-named-to-wooden-preseason-top-50/">Eric Maynor</a> were also listed as finalists for the Cousy Award.
This news comes just as CBS Sports has listed Weber as college basketball's <a href="http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24781369/-15-college-basketball-preview-all-defensive-teams">Preseason Defensive Player of the Year</a>:

Weber will begin his season at the Siegel Center on November 18th against Toledo after sitting out the season opener to Tennessee due to team conduct policy violation.
