Ram fans and businesses who love VCURamNation.com and have always wondered how you could help support Ram Nation on our quest to provide our best hoops coverage possible...this blog's for you.
The season is fast approaching. On November 1st, just over 10 weeks away (!!!), the Rams will tip it up against crosstown foe Virginia Union for VCU's exhibition opener in a taste of what is bound to be one of the most exciting seasons in VCU basketball history. Eight days later the regular season begins. A season with matchups against the likes of Memphis, Xavier, Butler, Temple, Richmond, Old Dominion and Alabama to name a few, and a number of other teams coming off NCAA tournament seasons including potential Battle 4 Atlantis Thanksgiving weekend games against the likes of Duke, Minnesota, Louisville, Stanford, Missouri and Northern Iowa.
Our site had it's best year ever this past season, seeing 3.2 million+ views from November to March as the Rams battled their way to a 2nd-round NCAA tournament win against Wichita State before coming up just short against the Indiana Hoosiers. With games against the aforementioned teams, and in joining what college analysts are calling one of the best college basketball conferences in the country this upcoming season in the Atlantic 10, we expect this upcoming season's numbers to blow those away as our site continues it's rapid growth as the VCU hoops brand continues it's growth nationally. And let's be honest...visiting fan bases from Xavier, Butler and Dayton are generally good for a decent numbers upgrade over the likes of Towson, Northeastern and William & Mary (sorry Tiger fans, but it's true).
In short, we're entering a new era at VCU, and with Shaka Smart coaching an extremely talented group of young Rams, the future is a bright and exciting one for both VCU hoops and VCURamNation.com.
So why not be associated with that excitement while helping us in our quest to provide the best coverage possible?
