VCU hosted some of the most talented players in the region this past weekend at their "Elite Camp" and our guy Andrew Canavos was there to scout the action. Canavos is currently a VCU student but has been on the recruiting scene for the past few years, filming the region for <a href="http://makeplayz.com">MakePlayz.com</a> and <a href="http://ballislife.com">BallisLife.com</a>. He broke down his top-10 players from this weekend's action.

"Obviously it is always good to see that 4 Star big man, Armando Bacot, was in attendance for VCU’s Elite Camp. Bacot does not need to come to camps like these when he bolsters 40 offers, including a Duke offer. Bacot would be home run get for VCU, but it is going to be hard to beat out big time schools like Duke, UNC, Louisville, and many more."

"Now one of the top 2020 players in Virginia, Mark Williams, showed lots flashes this past weekend at VCU. Williams already at 6’11 has great size with a great wingspan as well. Williams already has offers from UVA, Clemson, Oklahoma State, VT, ODU, and of course VCU."
<a href="https://www.vcuramnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/unnamed-11.jpg"><img class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-21530" src="https://www.vcuramnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/unnamed-11-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>Qudus Wahab: 2019 6’10 Center Flint Hill
"ESPN Top 75 player, Qudus Wahab, was in attendance. Wahab has good size and also runs the floor well. Wahab shows nice touch in the paint and also can shoot the 15 footer. Wahab claims offers from VCU, ODU, St. Joes, Temple, St. Johns, Clemson, VT, Seton Hall, and Rutgers. Expect VCU to make a strong push for Qudus Wahab."

"Mike Christmas just made a big move to power house program Huntington Prep this past week, but before leaving for school he decided to come out to VCU’s Elite camp. Christmas is a strong 2 guard who likes to attack the paint and knock down the 3 ball. Christmas has offers from VCU, St. Louis, Texas Tech, ODU, JMU, and Hampton."
<a href="https://www.vcuramnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/unnamed-4.jpg"><img class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-21523" src="https://www.vcuramnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/unnamed-4-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>Henry Coleman 2020 6’7 Small Forward Trinity Episcopal
"Another local product, Henry Coleman, has recently transferred to one of VA’s top private schools. Coleman has great size for a small forward and if he continues to improve his outside shot, will be a big time player. Coleman already holds offers from VCU, Oklahoma State, Penn State, ODU, and VT. Expect to see a lot of him in the Richmond times dispatch sports section."

"Yet another local young prospect, Darrick Jones, has also made a big move, recently moving to one of the country’s top programs. Jones is a superb athlete and has great size for a small forward. He needs to keep improving his overall skill but the sky is limit for this youngster. Jones has offers from VT, ODU, UMASS, and Winthrop.

"A 757 prospect who is starting to generate a good amount of buzz around him is point guard Quadir Pettaway. Pettaway played varsity basketball as an 8th grader for Hampton Roads Academy and also played on Boo Williams 16U Elite team this past summer. He showed off his great shooting ability during the camp this past weekend and showed a lot of poise running the point as well. Pettaway during the summer has collected offers from Hampton, JMU, and ODU. Expect VCU to stay on him throughout high school and AAU seasons."

"Banks is another young prospect who now is enrolled into Walsingham Academy. Banks can really shoot the ball from deep. Once he develops more of a handle he should see a lot more attention from schools. Banks holds one offer from Hampton University."

"Highly touted small forward from DC, Marvin Price, was one who stood out right away at camp. Price is a physical beast already at 6’5. He'll be teaming up with Christmas this upcoming high school season. Price holds offers from VT, DePaul, Texas A&M, Kansas State, Georgia Tech, and George Washington."

"A late bloomer who has come onto the scene as of late during the summer, Robbie Beran. Beran might be skinny, but he possesses a lot of skill and touch around the basket. Beran recently reclassified to the 2019 class so that should help his growth. Right now Beran has offers from JMU, Lafayette, Mount St. Mary’s, and Marshall, so expect VCU to keep tabs on him throughout the high school season."
