Eric Maynor's NBA journey will apparently continue in Philadelphia, as the former VCU legend will join his fifth NBA team since being drafted by the Utah Jazz in 2009.

News of the trade came today as Maynor was shipped from Washington to Philly in a three-team deal that included a number of other players and draft picks.

Maynor has averaged just 9.3 minutes per game this season behind NBA All-Star John Wall. Since graduating as VCU's all-time leading scorer, Maynor has played behind all-star point guards in all of his NBA stops, first in Utah behind Deron Williams followed by Russell Westbrook in OKC. He was then traded to Portland where he backed up Rookie of the Year and recent all-star Damian Lillard, then to the Wizards where he has backed up former No.1 overall draft pick and recent all-star, John Wall.

Philadelphia is led by 6'6 point guard, Michael Carter-Williams, who is having a sensational rookie season himself, averaging 17.1 points, 6.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds in his first year as a pro.

Maynor and Larry Sanders are the only two former Rams to currently play in the league. Recent grad, Troy Daniels, is having a breakout season in the NBA D-League however, setting a single-season three-point record just halfway through the regular season and could potentially join the two. VCU senior forward, Juvonte Reddic, is currently projected as a second-round pick by NBADraft.net in the upcoming NBA Draft.
