GAME DAY: VCU v Seton Hall

<a href="http://www.vcuramnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/CClassicGameday.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-6061" title="CClassicGameday" src="http://www.vcuramnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/CClassicGameday.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="450" /></a>The last time VCU took on a Big East foe on a neutral court they fired a warning shot to the Southwest Regional field, demolishing Georgetown 74-56 in the NCAA tournament's round of 64. Three games later they dispatched top-seeded Kansas before cutting down the Alamo Dome's nets and heading to the Final 4.

The Rams will look for similar success this week in Charleston, South Carolina in this year's version of the Charleston Classic. Starting with a first round tilt against the Pirates of Seton Hall, Shaka Smart's youthful squad will look for their second win of this young season, having recently eaked out a 6-point season-opening victory against St. Franics (PA).

Seton Hall heads into the matchup looking for their second W as well, also after having beaten an NEC team named St. Francis -- this time of NY -- needing overtime to come back and get the 4-point win.

The Pirates play a relatively shallow bench and are lead by seniors Jordan Theodore and Herb Pope. The duo combined for 46 of Seton Hall's points in their previous win, and provide a dangerous inside-out combination that the black-and-gold will look to shut down.

The Rams will hope to get Bradford Burgess his first bucket of the season. The preseason All-CAA First Team selection had perhaps the worst game of his career, going 0-12 from the field in VCU's previous outing.

Outside of Burgess, Juvonte Reddic will be counted on to do much of the scoring in the post. The sophomore big posted career highs in points (19) and rebounds (10) in his first game of the year.

Tipoff is at 5:30, and can be seen on ESPNU. @VCURamNation will also be tweeting the action live for those of you unable to get to get in front of a TV or computer tomorrow evening. And don't forget to check out the Ram Nation forums to find out what other Ram fans are saying about the game as it happens.
