Three recent VCU graduates will look to become the next Troy Daniels, opting for an NBA D-League path to "THE League" instead of playing professionally overseas this year.

2015 grads Treveon Graham and Briante Weber were both acquired to their new teams via their NBA affiliate.

Graham initially signed a contract with the NBA's Utah Jazz but will spend some time with their recently acquired affiliate, the Idaho Stampede. Weber was scooped up the same way, making his first professional stop with the Sioux Falls Skyforce after being signed to a contract with the NBA's Miami Heat on October 18.

2014 VCU graduate Juvonte Reddic most recently competed professionally in Italy's top league but has returned to the states and was selected with the 15th pick of the third round by the Canton Charge this past Saturday, the D-League affiliate of the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers.

Like Graham, Reddic had an opportunity to impress in NBA Summer League action but failed to make an appearance due to a recent back injury.

All three will hope to become VCU's next Troy Daniels.

Daniels passed on a more lucrative European contract in favor of a spot on the D-League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers roster. Daniels broke the D-League's three-point record in his first season with the Vipers before being called up to the Houston Rockets just in time to hit a game-winning three-pointer over the Portland Trailblazers that season. He is now signed to a multi-year deal with the Charlotte Hornets.
