McAllister had initially verbally committed to Virginia Tech's 2018 class before decommiting following changes to the team's coaching staff, opting to reopen his recruitment while doing a post-grad year at Massanutten.
The 6'3 guard verbally committed to VCU this October following a visit to his game from the Rams coaching staff. He'll play his post-grad season at nationally ranked Massanutten alongside 2019 high priority VCU target, Dereon Seabron.
