The senior point guard finished his junior season a Second Team All-CAA award winner, having to fill in for NBA rookie Eric Maynor.  Rodriguez will lead a group of Rams projected to finish 3rd in the CAA behind Old Dominion and George Mason.
VCU finished a disappointing 5th in the CAA this past season after a hot start in out-of-conference play.  The Rams rallied but eventually fell to CAA champ ODU in an overtime CAA semi final thriller.
The Black and Gold settled for a 2010 CBI Championship in which Joey averaged 17.8 points and 5.6 assists.
