Continuing with the theme of VCU legends associated with this year's "The Basketball Tournament", former VCU pep band director, Ryan Kopacsi, will lead the "unbiased" house pep band, 24 Infinity, during this week's Super 16 action in the TBT.

Kopacsi and a group made up of former and current VCU students have been invited to perform as the in-house TBT pep band throughout this weekend's action, meaning they'll be on hand for VCU alumni squad Ram Nation's contest Friday night against the NC Prodigal Sons. This makes the second year Kopacsi has performed at a TBT event, joining Ram Nation in last year's Super 16 round in full VCU attire during the team's tourney-ending loss to eventual champion, Overseas Elite.
Kopacsi directed VCU's "Peppas" pep bands for 18 years before failing to reach a contract agreement with the University this past season. A local firefighter, the VCU legend started the group 24 Infinity as a for-hire pep band that is also involved in local mentoring and outreach programs.
You can catch both Kopacsi and team Ram Nation live this Friday night at 7PM at LIU Brooklyn in Brooklyn, NY. The game will air on ESPN2.
