Maynor signs multi-year deal with Washington Wizards

Eric Maynor is returning home...sorta. After stints in Utah, Oklahoma City and most recently, Portland, the VCU legend is headed back to the East Coast after  reportedly signing a multi-year deal with the Washington Wizards.

Details have not been released because free agent contracts can not be signed until July 10th.

Maynor tour his ACL in January of 2012, then after months of rehab, returned to the OKC Thunder only to be traded to Portland shortly after.

Portland passed on extending Maynor a qualifying offer after drafting Lehigh combo guard, CJ McCollum, with the 10th pick of last week's NBA Draft. The 26-year old Maynor spent a two days as unrestricted free agent before being picked up by the Wizards.

Maynor averaged career highs during his time in Portland, posting 6.9 points per game to go along with 4 assists in 21.2 minutes per contest in Rip City.

This will be Maynor's first Eastern Conference team, and one who's games are all televised on Comcast Sports Net locally.

Maynor will backup former the 2010 No.1 overall draft pick, John Wall. Wall dealt with injury issues of his own last season, missing weeks due to a a stress injury in his knee.
