With the NBA draft just over a week away, NBA teams are holding pre-draft workouts to get their final look at the top prospects in this year’s draft.

Draft night can be a big night for players not expecting to hear their name called.
One of those players is former Ram, Justin Tillman. Tillman might not be expecting to hear his name called next Thursday but a phone call might not be out of the question. It it not unlikely that the former VCU center earns a roster spot for a team during the NBA Summer League this offseason.
The Detroit native, at this point, has worked out for the Denver Nuggets as well as the Toronto Raptors.
After his workout with Denver, Tillman talked about incorporating the 3 point shot into his repertoire and working out with other top players. https://www.nba.com/nuggets/video/search/?ls=channav&query=justin%20tillman

Daniel Reynolds, a writer for RaptorsHQ.com, when talking about the 6 players invited to their pre-draft workout, called Tillman “Just a straight up unranked dude.” https://www.raptorshq.com/2018/6/7/17437630/nba-draft-2018-toronto-raptors-pre-draft-workout-kassius-robertson
VCU has sent 11 players to the NBA. Tillman hopes to be the 12th.
