<img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3848" title="CAAChamp-teamshot_medium" src="http://www.vcuramnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/CAAChamp-teamshot_medium.jpg" alt="CAAChamp-teamshot_medium" width="500" height="329" />We generally try and stick to hoops here at Ram Nation, but much props goes out to the VCU baseball squad tonight after winning the CAA Championship (their first since 2007) in dramatic fashion today in Wilmington, NC.

The Rams needed to win one of two games against the Seahawks to keep their season going behind CAA Coach of the Year Paul Keyes.

Things looked bleak after a 10-0 game-1 drubbing, but the Black-and-Gold bounced back to win the crown with a 7-5 game-2 victory after Joe Van Meter hit a 2-run blast in the top of the 12th inning.

VCU's first round NCAA tournament matchup will be announced this Monday.
