VCU's Siegel Center has been one of the best home court advantages in the country, especially this season were the Rams completed an undefeated home schedule. A major part of that advantage is the boisterous student section, the Rowdy Rams. Well thanks to 118 donors and counting, a number of those students will be heading to Brooklyn to root on the Rams in this week's Atlantic 10 tournament.

Recent VCU grad, Tori Valentine, organized a donation campaign that received 118 donations and raised $8,890 in just 20 hours, reaching and then surpassing the original goal of $8,000 needed to bus and shelter 56 VCU students for the entirety of this year's tournament.

Donations came in all sizes but were highlighted by a "dagger" dropping donation of $1,000 from VCU legend, Eric Maynor, not to mention a $500 donation from NASCAR heros, Hermie and Elliot Sadler. VCU great Phil Stinnie got in on the action early, and the local community (too many to list) rallied to help make the trip possible.

It really was an amazing example of the love and support of the VCU community and will hopefully help provide the Rams an advantage they can ride all the way to an A-10 title.

A big thanks to Tori Valentine and everyone who made this possible.

The goal has been reached but if you feel like out you can still donate (bus No.2?): <a title="http://www.gofundme.com/BookItToBrooklyn" href="http://www.gofundme.com/BookItToBrooklyn">http://www.gofundme.com/BookItToBrooklyn</a>
