Both teams battled for 40 minutes of action tonight, but in the end, Jaylen Adams and Courtney Stockard of St. Bonaventure were just too much for the Rams as VCU fell, 68-63.

VCU led for only 6 minutes and 47 seconds of tonight contest, but with 3 ties and 8 lead changes, each team was making their case for securing a double-bye in the upcoming A10 Tournament.
A layup by Jonathan Williams with 1:26 left to play got the Rams within 1 point.
But, with 57 seconds left in the game, Courtney Stockard hit a three from the corner to give St. Bonaventure a two-possession lead.
Stockard then hit two free throws with 42 seconds to secure the win for the Bonnies. He would finish the night tied with teammate Adams for a game-high 21 points.
Justin Tillman recorded his 14th double-double of the season with a 20 point, 10 rebound performance.
De'Riante Jenkins was the only other Ram to score in double digits with 10 points.
Williams notched a game-high 7 assists to go along with his 4 rebounds and 5 points.
The Rams fall to 8-8 in conference play and 16-13 overall on the year.
VCU will return to action Wednesday, February 28th as the host the Patriots of George Mason.
This will be both the final home game of the 2017-2018 season and Senior Night for graduating players.
