After 8 days off the Rams were looking to get back into the groove and close out the 2012 calendar year with a win against visiting Farleigh Dickenson University. The Knights from Madison, N.J. could have watched all the tape they could but it wasn't going to stop the Rams from dismantling the team from the Northeast Conference, 96-67.

VCU got out to an early lead against FDU. The Rams saw a 19 points lead just 6 minutes into the game and would end the first half up by 17, 47-30.

Senior Troy Daniels was firing on all cylinders late in the game as he would ignite the Siegel Center faithful by breaking the schools record for three pointers in a game, previous set at 8, Daniels would end with 9 and 27 total on the night.

Junior Juvonte Reddic followed Daniels up in scoring with 22 points on the evening. This marked the second game in a row where Reddic has chipped in 20 or more points. The Rams starting center recorded a double double with 11 rebounds.

FDU would turn the ball over 21 times in the first half alone, 34 on the night. VCU was responsible for 14 of those first half turnovers. Heading into today's game, the Rams lead the nation is steals at 152 before tip off.

VCU got off 37 more shots than the Knights, outshooting them 85-48. Although, size prove to work a little more in FDU's favor as they were only out rebounded 7 times but they lacked depth as their bench only chipped in 2 points compared to VCU's 20 points off the bench.

The win moved the the Rams to 10-3 on the season and will travel to face East Tennessee State on Wednesday January 2nd and will return to the Siegel Center on January 5th to host Lehigh.
