Rams land second 2020 commitment with 6'5 wing Josh Banks

VCU picked up the second commitment of their 2020 class this weekend with a verbal from 6'5 Charlotte native, Josh Banks.

A consensus 3-star recruit, Banks will bring some scoring punch to a team that will lose a large senior class following the upcoming season. He joins Baltimore native, Ace Baldwin, as the beginnings of VCU's 2020 class.

The Rams graduate five players this offseason including three (Marcus Evans, De'Riante Jenkins and Issac Vann) that averaged double-digit scoring as juniors.

Banks averaged 16.5 points per game this summer with Team United, connecting on 47% of his attempts.

“The coaching staff just made me feel like I could call this place home for the next four years," Banks told 247Sports.com

"Also, I have a great relationship with the players on the team and they made me feel at home already.”

Banks chose VCU over the likes of Virginia Tech, Temple and Providence, all of whom offered this summer as the rising senior saw his stock soar.
