Recap: VCU Goes Cold at UMASS Dropping Second Straight; 69-63.

The Rams headed into Amherst, MA looking to start a new win streak. UMASS was looking to win just their second game in their ten last outings.

In the end, UMASS was able to withstand the pressure and handed the Rams their second consecutive loss, 69-63.

Despite first half shooting at 52% from the floor with 8 points from both JeQuan Lewis and Korey Billbury, the Rams trailed by 11 points going into the half. UMASS used a 13-0 run, and 7-7 shooting from three to stun the visiting Rams in the first half.

VCU committed 11 first half turnovers which resulted in 20 points for the Minutemen.

Lewis knocked down 1 of his 4 three pointers with 6:17 mins to play, but that was as close as the Rams would get. The Junior guard would end the night with 15 points, 4, reb, 5ast, and 5 turnovers.

Donte Clark (22), Trey Davis (18), and Jabarie Hinds (18) would combine for 58 of the Minutemen's 69 points.

VCU falls to 17-7 overall, and 9-2 in conference play. The Rams will look to bounce back at home this Saturday against visiting Saint Louis with a 6pm tip-off.
