Marcus Santos-Silva came up just one rebound shy of delivering on his 8th double-double of the season. The Junior finished the afternoon with game-high in both scoring and rebound as he logged 16 and 9, respectively.
VCU also used a 14-19 free throw shooting performance to cushion the buffer of any attempt from the Explorers to mount a comeback. La Salle struggle from the charity stripe today as they only connected on three of their ten attempts.
Twice in the second half La Salle managed to pull their team within three points of VCU, the final with only 3:21 on the game clock.

Issac Vann and Mike'L Simms were the only other Rams in double-digit scoring on the afternoon with 10 and 13 points, respectively.
