In addition to the absence of basketball, another downside to the off-season is saying goodbye to VCU players.
It's been announced that Freshmen, Gerron Scissum and Jonathan Nwankwo will transfer. Scissum averaged .5 points a game and played just 29 minutes the entire season.
Nwankwo, after getting NCAA clearance to play for the '15-16 season, decided to redshirt his freshman year.
Coach Will Wade had nothing but the best to say about the players.

“Jon and Gerron were terrific representatives of the program while they were here, and we want to thank them for their contributions to our program,” Wade said. “We wish them the best in the future.”
