Just days after visiting the White House, Shaka Smart headed back to the city that hosted the coming out party of this seasons surprising Final 4 squad, this time on a different field of play as he threw out the first pitch at a special Mothers Day Cubs game.

Wearing a #91 Cubs jersey, Smart's pitch was a confirmed strike.

The pitch was thrown to current Cubbie and former VCU standout, Sean Marshall.

The second-year head coach followed up that performance seven innings later by singing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game".
