Skeen awaits NBA Draft fate

The senior from Charlotte has popped up on all kinds of mock drafts, and looks to follow Eric Maynor (2009 20th overall pick) and Larry Sanders (15th pick in 2010) into what is becoming an increasingly more CAA sprinkled National Basketball Association.

Skeen peeked at around the middle of the second round following VCU's dramatic run to the Final 4 in which he landed on this year's NCAA All-Tournament team, but has also seemed to slide down numerous draft boards after a rough athletic testing at this year's NBA combine.

After working out for close to half of the league however (15 teams total), Skeen seems to like his chances, telling the Washington Times, “I’m getting good reactions from [NBA coaches]...I gradually got better at each workout on that road trip”.

As far as his mock draft status, Skeen seemed brush off the importance and accuracy of them telling the Times, “They are not accurate at all. People that do the mock drafts are guys that just sit at home on their computers".

I'll try not to take offense to anything Jamie said about people who sit at home on their computers (still love you Skeen), and wish him luck tomorrow night in the draft, which can be seen at 7PM on ESPN and ESPN3.com.
