Shaka Smart Basketball Camps Photography Intern

We seek a photo intern who can think on his or her feet and would like an opportunity to gain professional experience by working as an events photographer for Shaka Smart Basketball Camps. The successful candidate will work closely with our team, identifying key concepts for event photography and capturing the moment with our campers. Photographer will receive photo credit with all photos used within press and on our website—a great way to advance your portfolio and resume!

Job Responsibilities:
Shooting photos of people and campers in action at Shaka Smart Basketball Camps and events
Editing photos for print and online as needed
Assisting with archiving photos
Assisting on photo shoots and photo prep as needed
Engaging with campers and sponsors at camps, clinics, promotions and other live events

Qualifications:
Candidates should be enrolled in a photography or related visual media program
Applicants should have experience with event photography, great communication skills and a portfolio of examples
Some professional or intern experience working in the sports or entertainment fields is preferred but not required
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Courteous and professional manner

Equipment:
Intern may use own equipment or the camp camera, a Canon Rebel T4i

Compensation:
$10 an hour

Hours:
Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 24-28, July 15-19 and August 5-9
