My parents contacted me last week and asked if I could get them 6 seats in a row. After learning about the donation requirements, they dropped it down to 4. They went to 3 or 4 games this past season - and after following intensely through the CAA and NCAA tournaments, they didn't want to risk not being able to find a ticket next season.
The days of purchasing tickets on game day are over. Last season's consecutive sellouts should be the cause for the 500+ new season ticket deposits in the past month. The total number of season ticket holders is now somewhere near 3,500. When you add in student seating (anywhere from 1,500 to 2,000), we're looking at a guaranteed 5,500 seats sold. At this rate, it's possible that by November, VCU could be VERY close to having every game sold out before the start of the 2012-2013 season.
