VCU completed a season-sweep over GMU with a 71-60 Quarterfinal win in today's A10 tournament matchup.
The Rams started the game on a 12-2 run before the Patriots answered with a 14-2 run of their own to take their first lead, 16-14.
From there the game would see 9 ties and 10 different lead changes.
A Doug Brooks (8pts/5reb) three pointer with 7:05 left on the clock in the second half would give the Rams a 51-50 lead. They would hold that lead for the remainder of the game.
De-Riante Jenkins would lead all Rams today with 15 points on 3-3 shooting from deep. He would also add 4 rebounds in his post-season debut for the Rams.
Samir Doughty would also add 10 points for the Rams coming off the bench.
