VCU cruises past GW en route to 7-straight wins

A three-pointer from George Washington early pushed them to a 5-2 advantage. It was a lead they'd hold for just over two minutes.

Two free throws from Jayden Nunn and a bucket from KeShawn Curry started a 13-0 run for the Rams that would lead them through the first seven minutes of action.

Nunn would finish the evening with 9 points included a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line.

Curry jumped into double-digit scoring with his 13 points and 5 rebounds in 28 minutes of action.

Overall the Rams shot 47% on the game, including 43% from long distance.

Sophomore, Ace Baldwin, continued his hot three-point shooting game into tonights contest where he netted 4-5 of his attempts.

He led the Rams with 16 points to go with his 6 rebounds and 4 assist.

VCU (10-4; 3-0 A10) is undefeated since the return of Baldwin.

In total, 11 different Rams saw their name on the scoreboard.

The bench for VCU combined for 27 total points on the evening—including 10 from Marcus Tsohonis who managed to grab 5 board as well.

VCU dominated the glass against the Colonials to the tune of a 48-30 margin.

Jalen DeLoach led the Rams with 7 rebounds to go with his 6 points and 3 blocks.

Capitalizing on 18 GW turnovers, the Rams were able to translate those into 24 points over forty minutes of action.

Senior, Vince Williams had 8 of the Rams 19 assists on 32 made-baskets.

Williams scored points and grabbed 5 rebounds for the Rams on the evening.

VCU will return to action on Friday, January 14th, as they travel to take on the Bonnies of St. Bonaventure. That game is set to tip at 7:30pm EST.
