It may have been a familiar coach going against Shaka and the Rams -- former Hofstra coach Tom Pecora from VCU's CAA days -- but it was a whole new team in Fordham.

This marked the first match up between the Rams of VCU and the Rams of Fordham University from Bronx, NY. With the Ram Nation faithful decked out in Gold, VCU was able to get the 81-65 win, capping off a great Homecoming weekend at VCU.

The black-and-gold enjoyed riding a lead throughout the game, but it was by no means a walk in the park, taking a slim five-point lead into the half.

Sophomore Treveon Graham dropped 15 points on the night, 10 coming in the first half. Graham added 8 rebounds in the victory.

Graham has been a steady force for VCU in A-10 play, but the Rams got a much needed return to form from Troy Daniels as well.

After going through a small slump over the last handful of games, Daniels found his stroke, going 10-19 on the night including seven three pointers and a game-high 29 points. His seven made attempts puts him at over 85 makes from long range for the second consecutive season.

VCU's havoc defense got back on track as well, forcing 22 turnovers on the night and converting them into 32 points.

Junior Juvonte Reddic once again notched a double-double in the win, adding 11 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Reddic has posted a double-double in his last four games, as well as five of his last six.

VCU will take the week off before traveling to Charlotte for a Saturday, February 9th meeting against the 49ers.

The Rams return to The Siegel Center on Valentine's Day to host University of Massachusetts.
