RICHMOND, Va. - New Men's Basketball Head Coach Ryan Odom will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to VCU Baseball's contest against No. 8 Virginia Tuesday at The Diamond. The game is set to get underway at 7 p.m.
Odom, who was named head coach of the VCU Basketball program on March 29, spent the past two seasons at Utah State, where he led the Aggies to the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Odom previously served as head coach at UMBC from 2017-21 and led the Retrievers to an NCAA Tournament victory over Virginia in 2018, the first-ever by a No. 16 seed over a No. 1 seed.
The 48-year-old Odom also played collegiately at nearby Hampden-Sydney.
