Atlantic 10 Media Day is underway and VCU is racking up some awards. The Rams were picked to win the Atlantic 10 this season after finishing second in both the regular season and conference tournament last year, receiving 19 first-place votes from a combination of coaches and media members.
Last season's champ, Saint Louis, received the remaining five first place votes and finished second in the voting with a total of 265 points in the poll.
VCU's top two scorers from last season, Treveon Graham and Juvonte Reddic, were voted First Team All Conference for the first time. Graham, a junior, and Reddic, a senior, both finished as Second Team players this past season. Fellow junior, Briante Weber, was chosen for the preseason All-Defensive team. Weber was last season's A-10 Defensive Player of the Year and led the country in steals percentage.
