Bones led VCU in scoring as a sophomore this past season, averaging 19.5 points per game, at an incredible 44.7% accuracy, shooting 86.2% from the line. His departure was highly anticipated, though many throughout the program were speculating on whether he would sign with an agent or not. His announcement to sign with an agent confirms he will not return to college basketball.
Bones brought with him an incredible energy in his two year run at VCU, even providing a spark to fellow teammates this season while he worked through injuries. He would be the first VCU player since Larry Sanders in 2010 to leave college basketball early for the NBA draft.
