The Legends Classic revealed their bracket Wednesday morning with VCU facing Villanova in the marquee semifinal airing on ESPN 2 at 7PM on November 24. The winner of that game will take on either Michigan or Oregon in the Championship game that will air on ESPN2 at 10PM the following evening.
All four schools are coming off NCAA tournament seasons, two as No.2 seeds (Michigan and Villanova) with Oregon a seven and VCU a five. The Wolverines made it to the Elite 8 before being knocked off by tournament runner-up, Kentucky, while Nova fell in the round of 32 to eventual champion, UConn.
Villanova were regular season Big East champs this past year and return a ton of the talent that got them there.
The semifinal matchup between the two programs could likely be between two ranked teams, as both have been pegged as top-15 preseason teams by the likes of ESPN.
VCU has spent a ton of time at the Barclays Center since joining the Atlantic 10. This will be the Rams eighth game in the Brooklyn Nets' home arena, having won five of their previous seven, both losses coming in Atlantic 10 tournament finals.
