It's a long offseason, so we decided to catch up with 2016 Freshman De'Riante Jenkins. He just cracked the Top 60 of the final ESPN 2016 recruiting rankings at #59, and is Will Wade's highest rated recruit. He comes to VCU having just finished a post-grad season with Hargrave Military Academy, a team which just won the 2016 National Prep Championship, of which Jenkins was named tournament MVP.

De'Riante talks about his decision to choose VCU over other major programs - Tennessee, Clemson, Rutgers, Indiana, LSU, South Carolina, VCU, Georgia, Missouri and Georgia Tech. He also discusses his incredibly close relationship with his mother, which makes this one of my favorite interviews in recent years.
