VCU fans got their first look at the latest edition of the Rams when the experienced Gold team outlasted the Black squad in last night's Black and Gold game.

Zeb Jackson led his team to the victory with 13 points on 4-5 shooting in the short 24-minute contest, but it was a pair of freshmen, Brandon Jennings and Terrence Hill Jr., that perhaps stole the show, dropping 11 points and three assists each in front of the Saturday evening crowd. They were among a few new faces to shine on the evening.

Clemson transfer (and former La Salle Explorer), Jack Clark, drained a pair of threes and had a highlight dunk in the Gold win. The 6'10 senior played more like a guard, but showed promise with his versatility on the night. Freshman big man, Luke Bamgboye, appears set for a large role as a freshman center this year, starting for the gold team and scoring eight points to go with six rebounds. Bamgboye flashed a nice bit of length and athleticism with several dunks on the evening.

Experienced guards, Max Shulga and transfer, Phillip Russell, were quiet on the night, while Joe Bamisile and Fats Russell missed the game with injuries (expected back next week), highlighting just how deep of a guard lineup this year's VCU team will boast.
