Of all of VCU's assistant coaches, none go back as far with Will Wade as Wes Long. The two were reunited on the staff of UT Chattanooga years after the 2000 Clemson walk-on guard Long met Tigers student manager Wade when both were beginning their college basketball journeys.
They now both call VCU home, Wade for the second time, Long for the first, and with the two talented basketball minds on the staff, form a powerful combo that stand to bring a lot of wins to the black and gold.
I got a chance to chat with Long for the first time since meeting him at this year's men's basketball banquet and even got to play game show host toward the end of today's interview. Check it out.
