After a 2-1 stretch down in the Bahamas last week, VCU returned to the Siegel Center and welcomed the Princeton Tigers. The Tigers gave VCU all the trouble they could handle to start things off but behind Senior JeQuan Lewis, the Rams were able to fight back, grabbing the win, 81-70.

The Ivy leaguers stunned the ram faithful as they jumped out to an early and shocking, 16-0 lead. It took VCU more than 5 and half minutes before they would get their first bucket. The first half would end with both teams tied at 39.
Lewis led all rams in scoring with 25 points on the night and also was good for 12 assists. Senior Mo Alie-Cox was right behind Lewis with 15 points and 4 rebounds.
Senior Jordan Burgess had 12 important points that helped VCU maintain the lead to move onto 6-1 on the season.
The team played without Junior Johnny Williams as he was battling a stomach bug.
VCU will travel down to Miami to face Illinois on Saturday at the American Airlines Arena as part of the Hoop Hall showcase and will are on CBS Sports Network at 3pm.
