Video: Rams control the Colonials; defeat GW 85-55 [INSIDER]

VCU took to the court Wednesday night against George Washington University in hopes of remaining to be one to the few left unbeaten in the Atlantic 10. The Rams took the lead after just 21 seconds in and would never give it back in the 85-55 victory.

Junior Justin Tillman had the kind of game we know he’s capable of, leading all Rams in scoring with 20 points and also grabbing 13 rebounds.

In a game that was only close for a few minutes early on, only 3 other Rams would see double digit scoring. Along with Tillman, junior Johnny Williams along with senior Mo Alie-Cox chipped in 11 and 14 respectively.

The Colonials turned the ball over 17 times compared to VCU’s 8. VCU was able to get 22 of their 85 points off of George Washington’s turnovers.

The win moves VCU to 14-3 on the season and 4-0 in conference play. VCU will travel to Davidson on Saturday, January 14th to play the Wildcats at 2pm. The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.
