Video: Rams hold on against Spiders; win 69-66 [INSIDER]

Ram nation made the short drive across town to watch VCU face off against University of Richmond. Two different teams, having two different seasons, both looked for the same win Saturday evening. It came down to the wire with VCU holding on, getting the three point 69-66 win.

The game saw 4 rams score in double digits with junior Marcus Evans leading the way with 15 points. Junior Malik Crowfield was not far behind with 14 points, shooting 5-8 from the field and 4-7 from behind the arc.

Junior Issac Vann and Sophomore Marcus Santos-Silva both chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.

VCU shot 50% on the day, connecting on 27-54 shots. The black and gold out rebounded the Spiders 34-27.


The win moves VCU to 23-6 (14-2) on the season. The Rams will travel to Fairfax on Tuesday, March 5th to play the Patriots of George Mason University. The game will be at 7:30pm, televised on the Stadium Network.
