After a big win this past weekend in D.C., Coach Wade and the Rams looked to carry the momentum back home to the Siegel Center on Wednesday night. Senior night would mark the final home game for seniors Melvin Johnson and Korey Billbury. Davidson College would try to put on a damper on the Rams celebration but nothing would stop VCU from shining today as the Rams would get the win, 70-60.
The match up start slow, only seeing 8 points in the first 5 minutes, all by VCU. The Rams opened up early keeping Davidson off the scoreboard until the 6th minute in.

The Wildcats may have gotten within striking distance but was never able to zero out VCU’s lead. The Rams would score the first bucket and never trail.
Junior Mo Alie-Cox led Rams in scoring with 18 points (9 rebounds) on the night and Johnson was right behind with 16 points. Sophomore Justin Tillman also would see double digits with 11 in the win.
Junior Jequan Lewis found his teammates for a bucket 9 different times on the evening.
The win moves the Rams to 22-8 (14-3) on the season and will travel to Ohio on Saturday to play Dayton at 8pm. The game will air live on CBS Sports Network.
