For the 3rd year in a row, team Ram Nation is competing in The Basketball Tournament, a winner take all, $2 Million basketball tournament. This marked the first year that the team would open up in Richmond, Virginia at the Siegel Center. Just like the previous years, the team would get a win in the opening round, 86-72.
Team Ram Nation, comprised of recent VCU alumni with a few other former division one hoopers, led Tampa 20/20 wire to wire.
Brandon Rozzell led all players with 21 points. Rozzell shot 50% from behind the arch, going 6-12 on the night and 7-16 overall. VMI alumni Reggie Williams was next up with 17 points.
Xavier alumni James Farr chipped in 16 points for team Ram Nation.
Team Ram Nation will play the winner of Atlanta Dirty South versus Purple & Black, Sunday at 4:30pm. The game will be televised on ESPN 3.
